Halloween is a fun holiday that many of us celebrate with family and friends but while having fun, it's important to keep your home safe. There are a few things you can do to keep you and your family safe during this spooky time of year.
If there is trick or treating in your area, find out what time it will begin and end. Most local governments post the official time on their websites. This will give you a good idea when to and when not to expect the doorbell to ring.
Also during trick or treating, it is good to leave a few outdoor lights on. This will help you see who is coming and going around your home. And the lights should help deter any vandals from causing any property damage to your home.
If you are not going be home Halloween night, it is also a good idea to let a neighbor know. Hopefully, they can keep an eye on your home and watch out for any vandalism.
